Valley House receives cheque from Mercia Lions

Valley House receives cheque from Mercia Lions

On the 15th July two members of staff attended the Mercia Lions Presentation event. The event was to mark the change of Presidents. As part of the event, the Lions presented cheques to three charities.

In addition to Valley House, Unique Homes (a safe haven for girls abandoned in India due to their gender) and Langar Air (a Coventry based charity that feeds the homeless – ‘Langar’ means ‘Free Kitchen’) received generous donations.

We received a fantastic £501, which will go towards helping vulnerable people in Coventry and Warwickshire.

We’d like to point out that in addition to this cheque, the Mercia Lions provide the food for our monthly Free Kitchen. This is a very popular event with our service users and simply couldn’t happen without the Lions working hard to source a variety of quality foods every month, always taking into account the preferences of our service users.

Valley House would like to say a big THANK YOU for all your support!
