Staff at Unipart Logistics well and truly embraced the Christmas spirit this year, providing gifts for Valley House service users.
Once again, we have been supported by Unipart Logistics at Christmas time. Thanks to the generosity of their staff, all the children in our supported accommodation got Christmas gifts. These gifts were piled under and around the Unipart tree before being delivered to us.
It really did feel like Christmas had come early when, on the 19th December, armed with more presents than Santa’s workshop, staff from Unipart arrived.
Without their generosity, many children would have received nothing on Christmas day. It is no exaggeration that many of our service users flee with nothing. Without the support we received from Unipart there would be no presents for some of our children at Christmas. Not only do their donations keep the magic of Christmas alive, it takes pressure and stress away from their parents.
All gifts arrived wrapped and ready to go. Staff at Unipart selected an age and gender from the tree at the office, brought and wrapped a gift and left it under the tree ready for delivery! After receiving our exciting delivery, support workers then delivered all the gifts to all the children in our Supported Accommodation service.
The families were extremely grateful for all the gifts received and we are only sorry we didn’t get to see the children’s faces on Christmas morning!
We cannot thank Unipart and its staff enough for their generosity, and for once again organising a gift tree.
We don’t just need support at Christmas! If you would like to help, you can donate to Valley House here. Every penny will go towards helping improve the lives of vulnerable people in Coventry.
