Making A Difference Locally in Coventry!

Service users of a Coventry based charity, Valley House, are set to benefit from a trip to the seaside thanks to the generosity of their Local Nisa Store in Courthouse Green.

Making a Difference Locally is a charity that helps local independent stores add value to their local community. Store manager of the Courthouse Green Nisa store, Tarven Singh, said: “We are part of the local community and we wanted to donate to a worthwhile cause in the area. We posted our nominees for the £1,000 award on our Facebook page and we’re delighted that our neighbours at Valley House are the worthy recipients, having received the most votes from our followers.”

Making a Difference Locally

Nisa’s registered charity, Making a Difference Locally, has been proudly supporting good causes since 2008 and has donated over £8.3 million to 11,000+ causes to date.

Making a Difference Locally (MADL) raises funds in Nisa partner stores from sales of Nisa’s Heritage own-label products and branded products featured on the consumer leaflet, which carry charitable donations from the suppliers. Stores are then able to donate funds raised to a local charity or good cause of their choice within a 10 mile radius, ensuring money raised by the community stays within the local area.

There are currently over 2,300 stores participating in the Making a Difference Locally initiative. For more information about the charity visit www.makingadifferencelocally.com or
