The Nurturing Programme

In January Valley House will be delivering The Nurturing Programme. This will help equip families with the tools for managing family life, and enhance your role as a parent.
The Nurturing Programme is for all parents, carers, grandparents, foster carers, connected persons and for those with a Special Guardianship Order. The programme will help equip families with the tools for managing family life, and enhance their role as a parent. This course is ideal for parents planning ahead who are experiencing no difficulties, and families who are experiencing day to day difficulties with relationships, behaviour’s, feelings and confidence.
Some of the topics included in this programme include:
• The nurturing programmes four constructs – building blocks for emotional health
• The question of discipline – positive approaches for positive behaviour
• Giving praise
• Self-esteem and personal power
• Choices and consequences
• How we communicate
• Time Out …. Time to calm down
• Problem solving and negotiating
All programmes are free and we offer limited crèche support in Valley House Nursery. Please book early to ensure you get a crèche place.
