Today we were delighted to receive a large donation from Morrisons supermarket Binley.
Working in the current climate is a challenge. One of the biggest is trying to source the essentials for our vulnerable service users. Staff have risen to this unprecedented challenge, which has just been made much easier by Morrisons.
Support workers can now quickly and easily get the essentials to our service users. Now that we have these items, we will also be able to provide the essentials to individuals and families moving into our refuge accommodation. We don’t receive any funding for these packs so supplying them is sometimes challenging.
Staff were overwhelmed by the huge donation containing nappies, wipes, tea, tinned food, pasta, eggs and meal kits. These items will be distributed to our service users.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to staff at the Binley store for organising, collecting and delivering this donation. We are a community organisation and have been overwhelmed with how the community has pulled together to respond to this crisis.
If you would like to help us supply our service users with ‘Welcome Packs’, you can donate here.
