Valley House awarded Thrive at work -Bronze level

We are very pleased to share that we have been awarded the Thrive at work Bronze accreditation!

Workplace wellbeing is a huge challenge facing employers and many organisations are still unaware of the role they can play in supporting their employee’s mental and physical health. Only 13% of HR and business managers in the UK believe their organisation has an effective wellbeing strategy.

Wellbeing at Valley House

All staff surveyed at Valley House feel the organisation takes positive action on the health and wellbeing of its employees. Employees feel communication in the organisation is good and they have ample opportunities to discuss their health and wellbeing with their Line Manager. They say they feel safe and supported in the workplace.

Thrive at work Bronze accreditation

The bronze accreditation mean that an organisation we have: …understanding of the importance of good health (including mental health) and wellbeing, and how this affects productivity and performance at work in general. Business will also have appropriate ways of communicating this with staff, including noticeboards, newsletters or an intranet, in addition to a safe working environment which facilitates employees making healthy choices. Our nominated ‘Thrive at work’ staff member is Sharan, she’s been working hard to bring the wellbeing of staff into the spotlight. She keeps staff well informed about all things wellbeing and staff have been enjoying the free fruit Fridays she’s arranged. We asked her how she felt about the accreditation;
